Horoscopes and Weather (8/25/07)

Here's my (albeit generic for all Capricorns) horoscope for today:

Your thinking is quite clear today, dear Capricorn, and you will find that life in general is running quite smoothly. Your watery perspective on the world and its inhabitants is very much in line with where you need to be at this time. In other words, you are doing everything exactly right. Be yourself today, and let other people adapt to your way of thinking. There is no need to keep hiding the truth of who you really are.

Let's see...I'm thinking clearly...life is running smoothly...and I can finally stop hiding the truth of who I am.  Hmmm, sounds great to me!  If only the thermostat wasn't almost at the triple-digit mark (over, if you can the heat index!)...I guess life would be just about as perfect as it ever could be.

So, I'm on the downhill slope to recovery from a summer 'cold'...unusual for me for two reasons.  One, I hardly ever get a 'cold'...regardless of the season, and two, I can't remember ever get sick during the summertime.  What's going on?  Is it the up-and-down weather with temperatures were in the 70s most of the week with overcast skies?  Am I feeling 'cold' for other reasons?  Maybe.  Maybe the Universe is telling me to shift gears, build up my immune system for a rocky ride ahead (I'm heading off to Texas this next week...one of the few places I've had (mild) allergic reactions.  I'm not crazy about going to the Lone Star State in the heat of the summer, but promised a dear fried that I'd meet him there...he's on annual leave from the military, where he's stationed in Kuwait (way back from any fighting in an admin post).

Is this supposed to warn...or rather, advise...me to tell the truth about who I am...especially to someone who is a 'dear friend' of some 14-plus years?  Who may not realize all of the changes I've been through...just in the last year...let alone, since the last time I saw him (Feb 05)?  I'm not 'hiding' the truth...but, I don't think everyone needs to be hit over the head with information that may cause them to 'worry' about you.  I'm not fully 'truthful' about myself with my own family...nor most of my friends.  I think that this is trying to tell me that...if asked and it is relevant to the relationship...then telling my personal truth is for the best.  This is regardless of what may happen to the relationship as a result of the telling.

Whether (weather, LOL) we are too hot to handle (pun intended) for each other depends greatly on the prevailing 'temperature' of our ability to focus on the now...this moment...who we are and what others perceive us to be is a moving target.  This is not a time to be fearful about who we are...and how others choose to perceive that in relationship to themselves.  This is a time for patience, understanding and standing strong in our power...in our knowledge about the "I am" which is bound to become apparent as we are coming into our own in this extended 'present' moment of now.

Stay cool...literally and figuratively...enjoy the remainder of this summer and be yourself!
