Overlapping Lives, Intersecting Loves

A Dialogue between Two Mystics on 1/10/09

Mystic 1: What is this, this thing called Twin Flames? And, how does it differ from Soul Mates?

Mystic 2: Unlike the romantic ideal of 'soul mates', a twin flame relationship is mostly about spiritual connection between souls in physical bodies. We can have more than one...in our life...sometimes even at one time. This competing idea, of finding our ‘soul mate', can lead us astray...make us feel that there can only be that ONE who is PERFECT for us...and no other is worthwhile.

These Twin Flames are our most intense mirrors, reflecting back to us what we look like...or who we really are. These special 'twins' are put here to force us to grow in ways that we might not be otherwise likely to want to, so we get 'caught' up in the physical. This can also bring us a feeling of sadness, loss.

M1: So, what is sad about it?

M2: What we may THINK things are like, are based on how the LOOK. This is the sad part.

M1: You know, I reconsider people's relationships nowadays a lot...and we're often wrong. You may even think that you're wrong. It's really how it FEELS that's the important part.

M2: When we have experienced the Twin Flame energy in this physical world we inhabit, we remain connected; time and distance are irrelevant. You can than FEEL each other often without the need to be in the same physical space. Each can have their own physical relationship without interrupting this common bond.

We all have much growing to do, but it's why we're here. We often mistake ‘helping' another...even our twin flame...trying too hard, forcing them to grow faster than is ‘right' for them at that moment.

M1: Distance is only in the physical; the Wise Love is Accepting who and HOW we are...at all times. We have time...and good friends...to figure this out for ourselves.

M2: Yes, love is beyond reason.

M1: It is like right ‘taming'...read the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exuperie...

M2: When we talk about love, we really don't understand this word at all. We are here...in the physical to learn about who we always were.

M1: It depends upon how we see ourselves. We're in so many times in so many places; we're the Soul that travels on and on.

The Fox in the Book says how we must be tamed...the right way...and, we often discover that we have never been tamed, the right way. Which is huge, as it turns out...to want to be tamed, at the same time remaining totally free. It's like having the space and freedom and joy to totally be what you are, we have much to learn from each other. To be attached and at the same time not to be attached at all, it IS complicated, after all.

M2: And, it's our agreement with our Twin Flame which assists us in doing this. Not only by being WITH us...but also being apart from us.

M1: I call it Constellation. We are like Stars; each reaching out to each other with our rays.

M2: Or, like drops of water in the ocean of life...

M1: Yes, and drops. And, the more attunement, the more light from each other we gain.

M2: Friendship is always an alternative that can be quite satisfying, in its own way. When two people can discover that level of spiritual friendship, physical relationship to one another can take a backseat.

M1: So, we should communicate, but often, we do not.

M2: It's beyond the relationship we THINK we may need; that connection, that friendship. We cannot know unless we are clear about our intentions and communicate them with each other. When we find that we can accept that, we can find ourselves pleasantly surprised.

M1: Of course, the Sphere is Perfect, but then again,

A Sharing Motion; transforms the Sphere into a Drop...

Retaining the awareness of the Initial Sphere

I like a lot; the Shape of the Drop. And, he feels you deep then, too!

M2: Friends can become afraid, afraid that you will fall back under that ‘spell'...of love...

M1: If there is a FLOW, then how is it a spell...it's not 'witchcrafting'; it's Energy connection. Another cannot pull you in against your will!

You know what I call this problem in life? OVERLAPPING! We have so many of my different lives compressed into one.

So, there isn't anything wrong with this ‘spell' we ‘fall' under...isn't it a great feeling? See what you gain from it? We always gain, even when it seems we lose.

To be under the spell, or worse, a mutual spell, while the other life is totally full-present at the same time with all its intensity too...this is overlapping. It can drive us all a little nuts, and all while trying to live out a ‘normal, everyday, mundane' existence...teaching, writing, working.

M2: Agreed, it's about parallel lives, multi-level realities, all vying for existence at the same ‘time.'

M1: Instead of doing what ‘needs' to be done, we find ourselves sorting out this puzzle within ourselves...

We may still be in the process of 'feeling' our way thru this newest phase of relationship with our beloved.

We have like three layers of communication: Body, Mind, and Soul. Now, with this Twin Flame, it should have it all in these feelings thoughout. But perhaps, some can be felt, and some others, not at all?

It would be like, when I say ‘I love you' to the beloved, sometimes, it is of the HEART (Soul); sometimes of the Mind. Because it is an utmost pleasure to communicate mind-wise.

Sometimes, though, you may feel it's a kindred SOUL, although this may not even be obvious communication going on, and then, there is this chemistry of physical attraction, which is the love on the level of BODY. Then, there is attunement of the wavelengths and of the rhythm, of course.

And, when this ALL COMES TOGETHER, then, this is a BLISS.

M2: We come here, lifetime after lifetime, hoping and praying for this feeling of ‘triple' bliss...

M1: Now, if one or some is lacking, it is still an utmost joy, but the less attunement, the less connection; and, this all too often happens. It like starts in motion, people each move through their own path and sometimes are brought together to the closest close.

And, then that time may pass away; there is nothing to do about it...when the paths pass. There may be a lot of sadness, and even grief, or there may develop a mutually-strong, warmest friendship which can last for a lifetime. Where a different attunement is found...

M2: Again the bond is there, remains there, whether for one lifetime or many lifetimes!

M1: But my main quest is about these layers that were mentioned in the very start of this monologue.

I am a WATERFALL; it just all flows out of me once in awhile. I find that am in the midst of musing about it too, this is why.

M2: This quality of friendship, the bond, of always in loving relationship which no amount of time or distance can separate...which are not real anyway. There is a saying: for a season, or, for a reason. Meaning, we never know how long any relationship will last. But, it can and does span MANY lifetimes.

When you recognize it, when both know and felt that...perhaps even from the first meeting...

M1: It's scary-happy, when you find such things, is it not?

M2: Yes, when one, or both, know that you share this connection; it can be that, scary-happy. An interesting way of phrasing it, but yes.

M1: And this recognition, it is unlike anything else you've experienced!

M2: OVERLAPPING is what I call it! It is hard!

M1: But the world doesn't stop revolving; you can't just stop everything else that is already in motion. Things have a crazy way of showing up when you feel you're least prepared...so, yes, it can be scary, while also being a happy time...a time of remembering.

M2: This Time of Acceleration falls hard on all of us!

M1: Each of us struggles greatly to understand how to deal with all this new info...and ways of being, with no help from prior 'experience'.

Even after multiple marriages...and always being SO positive about each one at that time, and the institution of marriage as well. But now I've reconsider the whole system and about it at all...what is paramount is what matters in the HEART and SOUL and on the level of meeting...Rays, no, experience is always of the PAST.

And then, to each one I told ‘I love you' to; it has all been so different in content. Motives, more like hunches. It's not calculated, it is more like taking me in, but I started thinking about these three layers of human attachments, and I find that it may be all called LOVE, but it will be in layers. Does it sound strange?

M2: No, not strange at all; very clear.

M1: My first love was body and soul level; the second; body. Then, it was soul and mind; and finally, now, it is all soul. Just soul. And NOT ONE had it all in one.

M2: But, it is possible. In this lifetime, we may be offered that opportunity. However, we must recognize it for what it is...and what it is NOT.

These intersecting loves we experience, due to our multi-dimensional nature, ‘overlap' with the way we try to live our lives in a linear fashion. This is where we are confused by duality and physicality...and where we ‘lose' our bliss. We are each in search of...of reclaiming...our bliss which is our true nature and divine right.

M1: But always, BODY, MIND, and SOUL...that would be truly BLISS.

M2: Perhaps, this is why we struggle so mightily against the tide of reason...of what ‘experience has taught us'.  Perhaps, too, this is what our Twin Flame is here to offer us. If we accept it, bliss can be ours too.
